I feel better.  Thanks.

I mean if you think they’ll add $60 million in salary next year on those three players, or I’m sorry worse than that, then I figured you’d feel better by being told you were wrong.

I'm assuming by "this should never be the situation" he means we shouldn't be in a position where we project someone drafted this recently to be in the rotation, they should just get there when they earn it?

Interesting...the quotes from Maddon that I posted earlier were apparently in reference to Detmers being in the rotation next year.

What does that mean?  Better clubhouse vibe?  More pillow fights on the road for team building?

Joe Maddon has an expiring contract..  What happens after next year doesn't matter to him if he doesn't get extended.

So he must feel very comfortable to feel like he can say these things.  Obviously I’ve been outspoken about Joe, but I look at this as him calling for more talent.

In general, I think that's a good thing.  But it strikes me as odd to give that answer in response to a question about the organization's top-rated pitching prospect.

Yea I’m hoping what mmc alluded to is the reason.

My favorite part about this..  All the people that deluded themselves believing Maddon was this super manager who would turn things around are probably going to line up and praise him.   Ohhh, he's calling it how it is, he's calling out Arte..

Maddon had all the talent in the world in Chicago.
