There is a pretty wide age and Ryder experience gap and between the Euros and US. I wonder how that will play out.

This is a beautiful golf course. But it looks like it would kick us amateurs ass pretty hard. So many areas you cannot hit the ball without making your next shot really difficult. Even from the back tees the pros hit it 50 yards past where us white tee golfers land. They can avoid a lot of hazards that way. The 140 yard bunker shot by Speith was with a wedge, I would be trying to get a 7 iron to clear the front lip. It's a different game they play.

Daniel Berger is definitely feeling the pressure with back to back shanks.

Collin Morikawa on the other hand, I feel, is destined to become an American hero this Ryder Cup.  As well as Bruin Legend Patrick Cantlay.

Both have secured points in morning play.

US rookies went 4-0 in the morning matches.  That’s a damn good start for the team and may somewhat quiet the “we need experience” crowd.

Cantaly and Xander giving a shout out to Woods and Cantaly personally visited him to pick his brains. It's kind of weird thinking of Tiger as the old guy giving advice when I remember watching him winning Amatuer Opens as a teenager.

Some good news on Woods is he will be hosting a golf tournament in December. Probably not playing but seeing him walking without crutches would be huge.

During the Ryder Cup I’m always very pro-American of course, but it’s really hard to root against a guy like Paul Casey.  He seems like such a great guy. Like Darren Clarke was.
