Cobb is another in the "why bother coming back?" category for me.  I realize HE probably wants to come back to show that he can finish strong and this year hasn't been a fluke, but if I'm the Angels, I'd still want to give other guys some time in the rotation.  Then again, if they're still doing "bullpen games" by the time he's ready, then go for it.

Expanding on my reply to the shutting Ohtani down question. his final pitching appearance of 2021 will likely be during the final home series against Seattle, whichever game is likely to draw the biggest live gate. My guess is the Saturday fan giveaway game.
