O’Neal was horrible.  Rich is bad but tolerable.  Both of them sound like they have boners for their jobs.  I would too.  But it’s a bit much and I like homer announcers.

O'Neil was good the first night, but made a bunch of blunders last night. Expected for a rookie. 

I actually like him and Rich. They're not Rojas or Vasgersian good, but solid enough.

It’s almost like announcers and announcing is subjective.

It feels like we’ve gone through three or four dozen announcers this year. It’s like the same approach we’ve used with the bullpen. I hope this isn’t the way next year goes for either situation.

I like O'Neil, Ryan's son, from when he was on the LA Kings FSW team.  Good personality and seemingly good dude.  Not sure if baseball play by play is his forte but I'll give him a lot of slack.  Pretty sure he's a Dodger fan though.

Yeah, I posted a link to an article about that a few days ago.  But he's still out.  Seems odd to miss games from Friday through (at least) Monday for a Saturday college football game.

He's scheduled for another college game on Saturday, so I assume he'll be off Friday.  So if he's back "at the end of the week," you think he'll do Thursday and then bail again?  Ha...

EDIT:  I just found Waltz's tweet from yesterday where he says he'll be back on Friday.  Very confusing...

I thought Sutton was the best option as the #2 when Matty V. isn't available. I do like Patrick as a show host but not as a play by play.
