Well, everyone's most recent favorite Angel in another uniform is finally coming home to the stadium. What kind of damage does Wells do to the pitching staff to continue the tradition of ex-Angels killing us? Or, perhaps, do you believe the marine layer will keep Wells at same level as when an Angel?

I think he 7-15 with 2 Home runs, 6 rbi.

Skanks' OFers have not been good at the plate, outside of Brett Gardner with a .795 OPS.

Next best OPS amongst all Skanks' OFers with more than 51 at bats is Wells at .682. 

Ichiro is next at a paltry .630.

 

How they have stayed in contention, given that OF production is minimal, 1B has been so-so, Jeter has yet to play, and the pitching has only been decent (aside from the big 3 in the pen and Kuroda), is remarkable.

the yankees' offense is really really really bad. even worse than they were before teixeira came back. the a's have tried to give away the game several times and they couldn't take advantage.

Meantime, Cosmo Kramer Sneed is having a good season in Sixers' rotation with a sub 3.00 ERA and good Ks/BBs ratio and WHIP.

 

He is already 24, but ROTFLMFAO if he eventually becomes a decent/solid MLB starting pitcher.

Crazy thing is, whenever he's been a starter the control has been good.    But as a reliever in the past, the control leaves him.

Best thing is, he's a lefty.

Pretty amazing that he put up a .910 OPS in April and is now having the 2nd worst offensive season of his career.

 

And it wouldn't take much at this point for his numbers to dip below his 2011, which stands as his worst.
