It's bad enough knowing your team isn't making the playoffs. It's another to intentionally walk a batter to load the bases, walk in a run, bring in another journeymen reliever that isn't worthy of the sweat in Troy Percival's jock strap...and watch him walk another run in to basically lose the game. Fun times and shitty to watch.

This is 100% on Maddon for choosing to pitch Iglesias in a 6 run game last night.  He fucking sucks.  The worst Angel manager I have ever witnessed.

Regardless… he’s by far our best reliever. Yo use him in situations like this and figure out the 9th accordingly. This was literally the game right here. You bring in your best when the game is on the line. Period. Just terrible management.

So Ohtani was pleading his case with Maddon to let him come out for the 6th inning. Maddon chose to go to the pen instead one inning earlier than he should have causing him to use Petrick and Hoyt in the 8th instead. This isn’t a case of Maddon using Iglesias yesterday. He was available for tonight’s game. This is a case of Maddon going to the pen one inning earlier than he should have.

I went out for 40 minutes and the 6-4 Angels lead is now 9-6 Baltimore. 

The Halos have 3 outs to play with, but it looks like Baltimore's long nightmare is about to be interrupted.
