This thing had a UHF dial and rabbit ears. Whenever the picture wasn’t coming in clear I’d smack the shit out of it to make it work again. The 80’s were the best.

Yep. That and blowing on Nintendo cartridges to get them to work.

How stoked was everyone when you shoved the cartridge down and hit the power button, then the game fired up?!!! High fives and shouting everywhere.

It was hard work. You had to get creative. Like putting a second cartridge on top of the one you wanted to play.

This is why you can't afford a house.

We had gone about five years without making any major purchases and it was time for some upgrades, especially with our family growing. We're a one-car family and our current car was tiny and not incredibly safe for a baby. The TV was so st1ckboy could lose his thunder. The Xbox was a gift to myself after taking on some projects that gave us some more financial flexibility.

We could have not upgraded anything for an additional five years, and buying a house in Southern California would still be an impossibility.

And you also have an expensive crack addiction.

Datig said she first met Elder, who is now 69, at a party at the Playboy Mansion in the early 2000s, though their relationship did not begin until long after. The two became engaged in 2013 before Datig broke off the relationship in 2015.

Party of family values.
