Anyone who thinks our rotation for next season can be sorted from within and without spending on a couple of new starters is seriously deluded. This series and the Detroit one has proved that.

Mckenzie has a 2.14 era over his last 3 starts. Two of those were against Oakland and TB.

He's not a crappy pitcher.

He also had 20 Ks and 1 BB over those 3 starts. (21 IP)

McKenzie had a rough early season but has figured it out. A highly regarded prospect and a first round pick.

Hope Detmers will find that kind of consistency next season.

The HR propensity scares me.

This team desperately needs someone like Scherzer to join Ohtani at the top of the rotation for the next couple of years!!!!!!

Can’t rely just on Ohtani!

Yep.

Detmers isn't going to be great, yet. C-Rod may not even stick in the rotation because of his health. How's the back injury going to affect not only Rodriguez but Sandoval? Suarez isn't really that good. Barria isn't either. And Ohtani is having a career year.

There's a lot of potential but we need to add at least one starter, and not a 1-year prayer. Trade for another starter.

I must have mentioned that he'd be hr prone early in his career about half a dozen times in the prospect thread.  I know you saw it.  He throws a lot of strikes.
