The absolute worst case I ever handled for a false accusation is the one that pissed me off the most. 

Smoking hot college chick said she was raped by the staff of a local taco spot. She was hysterical, crying, etc. We took it very serious.

We interview the suspects, who told us this absolute bullshit cinemax porn story. "This chick said shed bang us for a burrito". Whole thing looked like this girl was gonna be one of those stories you teach new guys about. "Youre gonna see some bad shit in this job, kid"

Then we saw the security video. In it, she shows up at like 3am wanting in.... they said were closed, go to the drive thru. She lifts her shirt and shows her tatas. 

They look at each other, open the door and say "i guess thats worth a burrito".

Once inside, SHE takes both by their hands and, while laughing, takes both to the bathroom. The whole time theyre looking at each other, and the video was clear enough to show they both were like "wtf do we do here?" Then they go in the bathroom.

Her story was they dragged her into the bathroom from outside of the taco shop and raped her.

Whole staff was fired. Including the dishwasher and prep guys, who never even looked over at her, just kept their heads down, kept working, so they could go home on time. 

I argued w my boss to arrest her. He shot it down. So i wrote it uo and submitted it to the DA. Denied. 

That one still kills me to this day. She ruined 4 lives. Got nothing from it but maybe a hangover.

Taylor, let me add here, that might clarify that stat.

Is that 8 percent people who were arrested, and later found not guilty? 

Because the MAJORITY of rape calls arent reported as rapes. They are documented as "information reports". (So it wont stat as a rape). 

So for example, the past few stories i listed, none of those will show up as rapes, because they were unfounded.
