Do you know the pitcher with the highest swinging-strike rate in all of baseball this year? Well, it’s Jacob deGrom, no surprises there; it’s such an obvious answer that I probably didn’t need to ask. But do you know the pitcher with the second-highest swinging-strike rate? It’s Raisel Iglesias, and the Angels’ closer has been impressive so far this season, even if his run prevention numbers don’t quite show it yet.

If I was Perry I would be sending that link to all the contending front offices to rustle up a trade market for him. Could be an Aroldis Chapman type deal out there somewhere, or at least something that helps us next year. Trade him!

Halos can’t beat contending teams anyway (putrid 19-30 record against currently over .500 teams).   They aren’t going to post-season play doing that.

Get a decent trade made, and if the money is there and reasonable, re-sign him.

Just stop putting him in non-save spots.   Just STOP it!

But nooooo, Maddon has to work whatever voodoo magic he wants.

You have EIGHT other relievers.

But sometimes 4 or 5 have already been used  and others have pitched 2 to 3 days in a row.

I would think other front offices have that information. He will be traded, package him with Cobb or Heaney get better prospect.

I think he is our most valuable trade chip, and it probably isn't close.....Heaney is Heaney and we might get an above average prospect for him but relievers are a pretty hot commodity at the deadline....

He is giving up a home run like every fourth inning. Until he gets that under control, he won’t be that effective.

Maddon simply needs to not put him in on that 4th inning -- problem solve 😉

Raisel Iglesias- Will retrieve a better prospect at the trade deadline than the Angels paid for him this winter.

If I'm not mistaken, it was a cash dump, so basically, after they trade him, the Angels will have bought for months of production and a good prospect for 6 million.
