Gameday Thread: Giants @ Angels (6/22/2021): Heaney on the mound, Rendon dropped to 5th

I'd really like to see Heaney excel from here on out to boost his deadline stock.  I'm not interested in keeping him around past this season but some teams might still like him a lot and think he has more to give.  No matter how good we are or how well he performs if we can get actual prospects back I would move him, he is too inconsistent for me to feel confident in both his play down the stretch and in a possible postseason run or giving him any type of extension.

I'd move him if we can get back some used equipment. For "actual prospects"? Hell yes.

if he's a #5 rotation guy then I'd be fine with the Halos keeping him. Overall, he's just frustrating to watch

Heaney will be 17-7 with a 3.20 ERA and 190 IP for the Astros next year.

If doctoring the ball were still a thing, they still used trash cans and were still using their special nutritional concoction that Verlander and Greinke reportedly were using until the 2019 winter, then yeah, you would be absolutely right.

The Astros weren't the only cheaters,  they were simply the biggest and best cheaters.  They're headed for regression to the mean in the coming seasons.  Instead of being an elite, unbeatable team that always produced studs from the farm, now they're merely a good team that loses just like anyone else, and their prospects will also hit and miss.

I think their days of performing magic are over.
