Starting this winter they might need to start considering selling one or two of Manaea, Chapman, Laureano, Olson to do that Oakland thing they do so well.

He's having an excellent offensive year and has always been very solid at the plate.

They might beat me to it, but I like the idea of snagging a top Oakland SS prospect for Iglesias and/or Cobb. Coming up soon in the AL West if the Angels sell thread. Nick Allen would be great.

I wouldn't, but the Marlins match up with the Angels even better now if they wanted to put together a package of bats for arms.

Luzardo has been trending the wrong way this year and last. Even his AAA numbers don’t look good at first glance.

I have no idea if Arte nixes a deal like this.  It is a short term contract, 3 years more than likely, for a pitcher that is great.  It is a better deal than 8-9 years for Cole.

Roger Lodge took a call yesterday from someone suggesting the Angels trade Adell and Heaney for Scherzer.

I find it almost embarrassing that Lodge doesn’t have the basic insight that the Nats would have absolutely ZERO interest in Heaneys expiring contract.

I like Lodge because I think he genuinely loves the Angels but man he is hard to listen to sometimes.

NOPE...    Mostly I think this is one of those deals that should server as perspective for Angels fans..

For all the noise about how Canning sucks...  He's got a career ERA+ of 100 through age 25.   Luzardo for all the hype and top prospect noise..  87.  He's been injured more, pitched fewer innings and not come close to being the pitcher Canning has..

Canning only has 1.1 years of MLB service time.   There is value there.

Angels can probably snag Pablo Lopez now.  Wonder what the cost would be

I don’t want Perry to just give away Iglesias for the sake of trading him but it would seem outside of Kimbrel he’d be the next best closer on the market.

Really hoping to see Perry cash in on Iggy.

Miami now pursuing a trade for a CF. Tons of pitching prospects to engage with clubs on. We’ll see if they get one done. Could be more activity today.

It could be pretty hefty.

Lopez has been solid since 2020, and has three years to FA after 2021.
