Jo Adell and Brandon Marsh updates

With Marsh and Adams in the wings and Trout not going anywhere anytime soon; Adell is expendable. Someone will bite on his potential. I would not be opposed to them trading him for some pitching. I think he will be a successful big leaguer, but I think Marsh will be just as successful so one of the two are expendable IMO.

Adell lost a lot of his value after his 2020 performance

With so many losing seasons I wonder what is in Trout's head. Would he ask for a trade?

At the end of the day it comes down to the obvious. Adell has the potential for a high ceiling. Marsh is more projectable.

Adell will more than likely find himself making more errors but also making more ESPN TOP 10 highlight reels.

Marsh will be a solid glove and bat but likely wont have the jazz hands Adell brings.

My opinion, Adell has to be traded at some point. This pitching staff is once again embarrassing to watch.

I think they should trade Adell for any quality arm.

Only problem is that I don't think he has that much of a trade value after last year's struggles and his high strikeout rate this year.

With 3+ years of control and has #2 upside.

Adell can not shag a flyball. Never could, never will. I would be sending him to every specialist there is. Sports psychologist, vision expert, yoga expert, etc. There is a guy that runs "Slow the Game Down" out of Irvine that kind of specializes in all the above. Send him over there . It cannot hurt. Desperate times call for desperate action. Without some type of intervention / epiphany, Adell ceiling will be Brandon Wood at best all over again.

I predicted David Fletcher would be a MLB player when most thought it would never happen.  I know he is struggling to live up to his contract now  but he will be an asset for the next 5 or 6 years. Adell  will not be a MLB player barring a major intervention.  On the other hand, Brandon Marsh will be a solid MLB player. Great? We will see. Good ? Yes.
