CJ Wilson wasn't overpaid and non producing. He was a pretty good signing. Upton had a very good year here and has had health issues otherwise so not worth the contract but not all his fault either.

Yup. Not worth the contract but he did give the Halos a 3 bWAR season when totally healthy. Health has been his problem.

That was before the extension signing.

Angels should have sent him off with a qualifying offer after that year.

They could have gotten Ryu or Keuchel with that money and also saved so many terrible one year starter signings.
