Basically, the users who filed the class action suits (well, the attorneys who found people willing to be part of a class...ha...) claim that the celebrity endorsers of FTX didn't do their homework and basically took a bunch of money for endorsing what was essentially a Ponzi scheme.  They're claiming that without the celebrity endorsements, they would have been less likely to have bought crypto through the exchange.

Worst case scenario is Ohtani, Tom Brady, etc. having to pay out some $$$ to settle.  The collapse of FTX makes the endorsers look kinda dumb/greedy, but beyond that and potentially having to pay some $ to make this go away, Ohtani will be fine.  I imagine he and his team will do a little more due diligence on future endorsements.
