OC Register: Shohei Ohtani scratched from start on the mound for Angels

Shohei Ohtani, who was hit in the elbow by a pitch on Sunday in Seattle, was scratched from his scheduled start on Monday night.

The Angels will continue to monitor him before announcing when he will return to the rotation.

There was no word on whether Ohtani would be in the lineup at DH on Monday night. He did continue to hit on Sunday after he was hit.

José Quintana will start for the Angels against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Yeah I hope so. One would think that when you have a ton of pain in your elbow/tricep area that a pitcher may try to overcompensate and it could cause more of a problem in terms of his UCL or shoulder.

Since C-Rod was last used on the 28th of April, I'm guessing he's ready to go another 3+ innings should Quintana shit the bed again early.
