A guy that got a base hit and gave the 2-4 hitters a chance to drive him in is bad, but the guy who struck out and gave nobody a chance is OK?

So I post something earlier about Trout being on pace for a 16.0 WAR and then he strikes out four times.

I think I'll take a break tomorrow.

No. He just made a big mistake that ended the game and is rightfully catching flack for it.

Trout didn't cause the last out. Fletcher violated the rule of never making the last out at third base. He fucked up. Trout just had a bad night at the plate but it did not cost them the game.

Completely forgotten in tonight's loss is Shoei Ohtani kept the consecutive game home run streak alive. Vasergian made a big deal about Trout doing it last night but it seemed to be less of a talking point tonight.

I think the official scoring says he was out at home.

Pujols, Iglesias, Suzuki and Jay went a combined 7-14 with 2 walks.  These are the kind of games we should win.

Left a lot of men on base, and that Suzuki drop was brutal. Merrifield is the kind of player that will make you pay for mistakes like that. Suzuki was pretty upset with himself about it.
