Maybe you don't can MS now, but you can sure dump Butcher. Name one Angel's pitcher who developed under Butcher. Take the same staff and give it to Dave Duncan guarantee it would perform way better. Same with the hitters. Give them a good hitting coach and you will see different results.

Another petty critic?

Guard your ankles...someone let the poodles out tonight.

your mantra is old and pathetic.  When you perseverate about something from it's inception, you are bound to be right at some point.  You are truly, the broken clock, the boy who cried wolf and the blind squirrel looking for a nut all wrapped in one.  You have to know that your posts are rarely even browsed at this point.

Can't argue with the jobs that Chili Davis, Curt Young (solid MLB pitcher), Bob Melvin (decent MLB catcher), Kirk Gibson, and Don Baylor are doing for the A's and D-Backs.

Didn't Don Baylor bounce around at a few jobs before the one he now has?  How could those other teams have given up on him!

Ok then if managers dont really help wins and losses why the hell are the red soxs winning again with basically the exact same team they had last year but with 1st year manager John Farrell?

Someone please tell me?

The Red Sox have the same team as last year?

He sucked with the Cubs after doing OK for a year or two with the Rockies.

He is now a good bench coach, which is where he belonged in the fist place, and where Scioscia, despite his rabid apologists

will find his true calling...kinda like Don Zimmer. Not really bright enough to manage, but a good baseball mind as long as he isn't in charge.

He can't opt out until the end of next season.  That is too long to wait.  Not to mention you need to do something to get fans to the park.  Who the hell would want to go watch these losers?

I've not been all year.

I don't even watch many of the games but instead listen while doing other things...this way it doesn't feel like a complete waste of time.

There was a time were I'd call in sick and pay whatever I had to just to go to a game.

LOL, thanks for playing. Don, tell him what he has won..

The season is already over.

There really is no point in bringing a new manager mid season.

Just wait until the end of the year and hope that they make the right move and let the fat man go.

Hopefully they can agree on some sort of buyout and he can go manage the dodgers.

Every time these threads come up, you never find one scenario mentioned where Scioscia should be fired from those who defend him.

After running some calculations, I predict a wormhole has an easier chance of being found in the wild than a singular instance of the item mentioned above.

Scientific clarification:  Wormhole and Scioscia's postgame comments are not to be considered one in the same.

Reddit clarification:  Further research has shown they are indeed one in the same.  Shit.

Ah.... basically yes....

Take a look at their roster. They aren't the same team. Their pitching is a lot better. Lester is having a good year and Buchholtz is having a very good year. Lackey is back and unfortunately he's having a good year. Their bullpen has been very good. They signed Uehara in the offseason and Bailey is back from injury (he missed most of last season). Napoli leads the team with 47 RBI's. Ellsbury missed more than half of last seasons with injuries.

And the firing of bobby valentine has nothing to do with their success?
