Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Astros (4-5-2021)

One of the coolest things to see from all these comebacks is the resulting comraderie. 

Not a single player in that dugout, as far as we can tell is hanging his head because they're losing. They'll fight together, and early on, they've shown they'll win together.

But a marathon, not a sprint. There can be many ups and downs in a season. The key is to not get too low on the lows. The BEST teams in baseball tend to play .500 ball mostly. They just sprinkle in a five games winning streak every once in a while and it results in 90+ win campaigns.

Man I haven't been this pumped on the Angels in a long time.

Calm and poise. Even when facing adversity. Lucky to survive horrible ump calls. Really terrible strike zone, even if it was 'consistent.' And Maldanado never touched the plate. But I guess 'not indisputable proof.' 

Pujols isn't useless if you accept his limitations. 

Nice clutch at bats late in the game. Angel speed on the bases helped too.

Respectable pitching from the bullpen again. Kept the game within reach.

Iglesias is quickly becoming a major plus. Regardless of his hitting, which is good enough.

Ohtani electrified everyone. Nice to see his emotion.

Looks like it will be a pretty grudge filled season against the Astros. Take it to them.

I know this is easy to say when you are winning but I really like Masons bullpen management so far. I think he’s done a really good job picking the right matchups.
