2021 MLB Standings Prediction

Recommended Posts

Easily, one of my favorites every year. Feel free to be as detailed or brief as you wish.

AL East: Yankees 91-71, Blue Jays 90-72, Rays 85-77, Red Sox 80-82, Orioles 60-102

AL Central: Twins 89-73, Indians 88-74, White Sox 87-75, Royals 80-82, Tigers 70-92

AL West: Athletics 89-73, Astros 88-74, Angels 88-74, Mariners 75-87, Rangers 60-102

WC1: Blue Jays.  WC2: Indians, Astros and Angels

--- Astros host Angels, winner of that game plays in Cleveland the next day.  Angels defeat Astros, Indians defeat Angels

Wild Card Game: Indians defeat Blue Jays

ALDS: Athletics defeat Twins in 5, Indians defeat Yankees in 5.

ALCS: Indians defeat A's in 6.

___________________________________________

NL East: Braves 90-72, Phillies 87-75, Nationals 86-76, Marlins 84-78, Mets 82-80

NL Central: Cardinals 90-72, Cubs 84-78, Brewers 84-78, Reds 80-82, Pirates 49-113

NL West: Dodgers 109-53, Padres 101-61, Giants 78-84, D-Backs 68-94, Rockies 65-97

WC1: Padres.  WC2: Phillies

Wild Card Game: Padres defeat Phillies

NLDS: Padres defeat Dodgers in 4, Braves defeat Cardinals in 4.

NLCS: Padres defeat Braves in 6.

____________________________________________

World Series: Padres defeat Indians in 7.

Cool Parts: There's basically no disparity in the AL.  The distance between home field advantage and WC2 is three games.  Three way ties are always fun too.  In the NL, it's the Dodgers and Padres, and then everyone else.
