I still don’t think any of these moves indicate  something is coming, but Cobb, Fowler, Garcia, and Gosselin do add a layer between the bigs and Suarez/young SPs, Adell/Marsh, Rengifo, and Thaiss/Ward.

Could just be that they want the youngsters to fight for a spot, could be that they want to build some depth if a trade happens so they aren’t putting kids in before they’re ready.

Good way to let Marsh and Adell fully develop. Adell needs to be fully seasoned in outfield and Marsh needs AAA experience.

funny, because I got the opposite feeling.

It seems like Perry is now focusing on depth at the back of the 40-man roster and on minor league deals, which would make it seem like he's done his heavy lifting for the major league roster.

As mentioned above, Kean Wong. Also, there's Jose Rojas. Plus Ibandel Isabel (1B) and Mitch Nay (1B/3B) as options to fill out the AAA infield.
