At this point in time, it's tough for a baseball player to be incredibly successful off the field.

I don't think it sucked balls. It's also not over yet. It surely hasn't been as good as the Angels needed it to be but the team is improved at least on paper.

As for Bauer and his "brand" slash outside of baseball money, didnt arod get something similar from the yankees? Like a trademark for his jersey or merchandise or something like that?

And yeah, bauer is making a TON of cash, and it sounds high. But if its that short of a deal, i think id rather have that than one at more years.

It's odd to say, but Bauer favoring a short term deal wasn't favorable to the halos who I'm sure would have preferred paying him less the first couple years until Albert and Upton are off the books.
