It is bizarre.

Whenever I hear the word bizarre, I always think of the cop in Celtic Pride. When Damon Wayans escapes from being kidnapped and runs to the cop... who realizes dan Aykroyd kidnapped him to help the celtics win... so leaves him there and says "bizaaaah" in his boston accent.

Love that movie.

if he wins the cy young in 2021 (or just top 3-5)....with fans now in seats and revenues up for 2022+.....yes he'll get a $200M contract next season.

How about now?

You don't think that if he wins the cy young this year that there won't be any team willing to pay big buck for him?  Let's not kid ourselves -- teams don't care about the quality of the individual....they care about performance.  It's a moot point because he won't be winning the Cy Young and may not pitch for a while this year (if at all).  I only said he'd get that big money IF he wins the Cy Young this year (or one of the top contenders).  Not happening now, so i'm not sure why you brought this up.  Unless you think he will win the Cy Young this year (or top contender for such)....which is surprising considering the fact he's not even in the top 10 NL WAR for pitchers (nor ERA+, RE24, etc.).  Even if he didn't have this issue, he wasn't even headed for a top 10 Cy Young finish.  So still not sure why you are bring my comment up.  Somewhat odd to be honest.
