people (or maybe it's just me) aren't freaking out.  I just disagree that this comes close to making us better in any way, shape or form and some other move for a guy on a minor league deal would likely have a better chance of doing so.  

Jo Adell was worth negative wins last year. Marsh could be just as bad. So could whatever other options there are. This raises the floor. And if one of the younger guys performs, they replace Fowler. 
 

I’d prefer a better option as well, but I think guys like Cobb, Suzuki, and Fowler replace garbage production with mediocre production (at very little cost).

Damn I thought Minasian would do a good job but ends up being crap. I thought the Angels would be better and instead makes them worse getting players that can’t hit. I hope he has some kind of plan to get a good pitcher and outfielder in a trade or it will be a long season.

He will be the opening day RF, you can book that.  Its been made very clear that they feel Adell needs more time, this gives him that.   People talking about his D are the same ones that noted how bad Adell looked.  Right now this is an upgrade, albiet a small one.  By mid season maybe not so much, but he did put up a 346 OBP in '19 and will be fine in the lower third of the lineup.
