When I was in high school we set up a working guillotine on the front porch and chopped off a fake head that would drop into the basket when kids reached for candy. Just when they calmed down my friend would get up off the guillotine table headless and chase them off the porch.

We had zero this year.  The streets were really quiet.  No cars at all, like most Halloweens where you would have a bunch of minivans dropping kids off in neighborhoods.  I guess people in Lol Angeles were hiding at home.

We had about 50 families this year usually over 100 easily.
