Honestly this fits in to Bauer's persona.  I'm thinking he'll sign the contract next week but won't want the news released till Christmas Day.  He seems like the type to want to take away attention from Jesus.  Now if it's announced on the 24th, then he's the biggest A-hole because now he took attention away from MY birthday. 

 

Actually, that'd be pretty sweet if it was the 24th.
