I actually am glad they're doing this and hope the Braves are next. Not all SJW issues are alike. A lot of Americans don't know the actual history of this country and its colonialism. Entire cultures were wiped out, millions killed. It makes sense to remove mascots and images that represent a people whose land was taken and culture destroyed.

Of course the US should do more to improve the lives of people who live in reservations, but I'm not sure what that has to do with Cleveland changing their name. It isn't like they are choosing to do this rather than send money to the rez.

as far as the Indians, it’s a big who care from me.  I do wonder whether the people who actually matter on the topic - native Americans - called for this in any substantial way.  It seems like an excess answering a call from people who don’t matter on the issue.  Anyway.  The Spiders would be cooler anyway.
