It is December 8th and he has signed two minor leaguers to contracts and made one trade while doing the same yearly rosters cuts every GM does. He is not moving fast.

*correction, two trades.

Have any teams done more than the Angels?

And it just isn't the addition, but rather, the subtractions.  He basically removed 5 relievers from our bullpen last year.  Instead of just hoping they improve, he has shown he is aggressively remaking our pen, which was one of our greatest weaknesses last year.  He has added a close with elite-level stuff, and given how Atlanta put together a very good pen, I'm hopeful he can find some under-the-radar guys to add to the core we have now (Iglesias, Mayers, Pena, Buttrey).

The fact that so many relievers are gone suggests there will be quite a few more moves upcoming too, so yeah, I'd say he has been rather active so far, and will likely continue to be so.

What I'm saying with Eppler seems liked we waited until January and end up with Harvey, Cahill, Allen and Teheran. He did trade for Bundy and after signing Rendon we went into wait and see mode. Remember Minasian just became GM and started late. I am hoping we finally found our GM that can get us back to playoffs after so many losing seasons.

Maybe a couple McKinsey brains.

Hmmm.  Interesting.  I don’t know that there’s a direct correlation between being good at baseball nerd shit and having a satanic interest in identifying minuscule inefficiencies that result in laying off 6792 people.  I say pass on the McKinsey demons.
