Definitely think this is likely and Fabian Ardaya was also talking about this.  While I certainly hope our biggest SP acquisitions don't come from this list, major league depth has been an issue for a long time so hopefully Perry takes advantage of the cheap depth that will be available.

Yeah, more of a "business" decision than a baseball one at this point.  Starting pitching isn't gonna come cheaply, either in salary or prospects.

But it's probably a good economic climate to pick up some depth pieces, if the Angels have the ability to spend on them.

why won't their farm system help them access much of that?

Curious as to who in our farm you think can be expected to contribute next season?  We have by average the youngest group of top 30 prospects for any team in the league, and even the guys who are closer to being MLB ready like Adell and Marsh have shown nothing for us to believe they can really be relied upon for 2021.

Because Alden doesn't follow the team and knows little about their prospects? He also probably assumes Adell is off limits (which, he may be).

Pretty sure he was talking about trades, not promotions to the big club.

Yeah, now that I read it again, that makes more sense.

I would think he’d be able to get a multi-year deal though.

Why?  He's a bad defender, strikes out a bunch, doesn't walk all that much, and just turned 30.  Sure, he can show some decent pop, but there are any number of OFs who will be available who could give you similar production.

Goodwin is a good 4th outfielder if your idea of a 4th outfielder is 'the guy you start when one of your 3 best guys is hurt.' He's not good enough to start regularly and his skill set doesn't mesh well with a bench role.

Kinda boring so far. Thought there’d be a few trades today. Still time.

My guess is that teams are a little reluctant to make trades right now simply because everyone feels there will be a flood of non-tenders.  Maybe better to just wait and see how it all plays out, then see who you can pick up for $ and no other assets.
