Dude, as a teenager I mostly made my spending money catching king snakes, which of course mean rattlesnakes weren’t that far away.

I once ran over a Habu. Made  sure to get it with both front and rear wheel. It slithered  away like nothing even happened

Not a lot here on the Gulf side but the mountain areas along the Red Sea coast are infested with snakes, scorpions, wild dogs, baboons
