And what did Mike Scioscia see in Robb Quinlan?

Quinlan was fine.  People act like he was an everyday player.  He was on the team for 8 years and the most at bats he had was 240ish.  Over a .700 OPS for a depth piece isn’t bad at all.

I didn’t ask about all the other ones but they all happened pretty soon after he was hired so I assume they were in the works before him too.

Stoneman?  But the acquisitions all seem to fit with Minasain’s background.  When was the choice made..

Perhaps during the initial round of interviews, amongst the questions asked were what minor moves would you make to help improve the team?  And give some examples of those players and why you feel they'll help improve the team?

Who knows.  Those players do seem to fit in line with Minasian's background.  Maybe he floated those names early on and we decided to pursue those players.  Or maybe our FO indeed started the whole process with those FOs without Minasian's involvement.  Not sure.

Maybe Andrew Ball. I think he was the highest ranking baseball ops person left after Strangio-Martone left.

They also had the whole month of October to put together lists of minor league FAs they wanted before Strangio-Martone left.
