Angels announce Perry Minasian as their next general manager

Pretty good article on Minasian from Fabian today, but one thing stood out to me.

 

The more I read stuff like this, the happier I am with the hire and the more I think he's a great fit.  My biggest issue with Eppler is that I never felt he was assertive enough about improving the major league team.  Someone who is an aggressive GM who also is capable of looking at the bigger picture and wants to improve all levels and positions of the organization, is exactly what we need.  It's also the ideal type of GM to mesh with Arte.  I'm very excited to see what his first big moves are to get a real sense of how he wants to construct this team.

Can't read it, but apparently Buster Olney has an article up on ESPN about Anthopoulos and his skill in hitting gold in one year contracts. Wonder how much of that Minasian was a part of. Probably hoping for too much to ask if Minasian was the one picking out who AA should pursue in those one year deals.
