Move some money around... So were going to blow a shot here over a possible few mil in tax?  Really?
Who the hell could the possibly move to make a difference?  Every large deal has a no trade, the ones on the next tier are all important to next year.
They just got Iglesias and Quintana so it isnt them, Bundy is necessary, Is moving Heaney the hold up?

I would not mind going after and getting Hendricks. But i prefer if we plan on making a trade, would ideally to for a younger player.

With the news of the Arenado trade rumors heating up, Marquez would be be my top choice.

Second i would also rather wait mid season before making any trades, this way it also us to have a better judgement on our prospects. Take for example Adams, he a top 100 prospects in some list and close to a 100 in others. Lets say he breakouts and or takes the next step, this helps us out a lot. So, i rather way and see.

Now looking at our rotation,

Barria had proven that he's more than a depth guy, he's a solid 4 that can pitch as a 3. I would not be surprise to say this what, Barria could be our own Hendricks.

I think Barria has really good stuff, a plus slider, an above-average  change and a sneaky fastball

Canning, He showed solid improvements last year. We saw flashes of front of the rotation stuff from him. Now it just learning and building on it.

The concern is that injurie history, But if he can stay healthy and rediscover his slider, he is a breakout candidate.

Quintana, I actually really like this move. Quintana through his career has been a 3-4 war guy and i think he'll be around there again this year.

Heaney, I think we can all say that he's 3. Last year it seemed like he was breakout, If last year was a full year he would have finished with a war around 3-4.

Bundy is an interesting guy, i don't really know what type of pitcher he will be next year, but if he command his pitches and throw strike, i could see him being a 3-4 war guy.

It won't happen because the Angels have too much talent to stay competitive and within the ALW/WC playoff race.  But dang imagine the returns they could get at trade deadline time if they sold with all these important pieces on one year deals: SPs (Bundy, Heaney & Quintana), closer (Iglesias), shortstop (Iglesias)....and the biggest/best/most valuable (lol) of all -- PUJOLS!

Literally the Angels only hope at attempting to move money around is Upton.

And lots would have to happen in order for that to happen. Eat money, waive NTC clause and most importantly, someone would actually need to want him

Perry needs to get on the blower and send some of Atlanta’s finest escorts to AA’s office to start

I think of it as trading a guy like Heaney and extending Bundy while having him take less this year.

Had the Jays not just traded for Matz, Heaney would’ve made sense for them. I think they Jays will still add another pitcher but probably one who is more dependable than Heaney

I don’t want to trade Heaney unless it is a moving part in a project that lands a #1.

Not really..  Bauer, Bundy, Heaney, Quintana, Canning, Ohtani and one of Barria/Sandoval/Detmers/Rodriguez.

Fair enough and yet to date everyone is talking about two more still.
Still leaves bullpen and possible RF in the wind.
