Bauer more of a NY type of guy than Anaheim. He loves the spotlight, Anaheim more of a laid back type of town. Bauer like Cole has used halos to get better contract. Let's go get Odorizzi or Walker and some bullpen help.

Call it a load all you want, it's what people in the business have been saying for months. 

The Angels were never a primary landing spot for Bauer. I still think they'll either be in on Odorizzi, or they're going to make a trade for Kyle Hendricks.

When there are millions of dollars at play, professionals tend to be able to put petty differences aside. That article doesnt bother me.

Besides, Bauer hasn't seemed totally against the Angels judging by his social media this off season.

This is where I am at. As much as I believe Bauer would be a great addition, the cost is likely huge, and the money might be better spent distributed among a lower caliber starter, another high leverage pen guy, and a RF.

Do both. Then sign rosenthal to bolster the pen. 
 

that would give a solid lineup and a pretty great pen. It would also push Sandoval/barria to the pen as well.

Mostly agree, although I don't know if a trade is in the cards. Certainly don't see them getting a Castillo or Marquez. Someone like Hendricks could be possible. Maybe Gray (Sonny. Or Jon, I guess). Neither will be cheap, though.

Never really expected Bauer. Especially at his price tag. I like that the Jays got Matz.  As it probably takes them out of any more 2nd tier SPers. 

Options remain decent with flexibility to fill other holes. I can’t complain too much when this free agent class wasn’t filled with top tier options.
