Crazy to think there is an audio clip confirming this lost and forgotten for almost 9 decades. It kind of puts things in perspective, this wasn't all that long ago, and the world wasn't all that different, with baseball, newspapers, beat writers, and radio programs hosted by now nameless entertainers. Yet such a monumental feat can be relegated to the status of myth... perhaps not unlike the 100 point Wilt Chamberlin game. Makes you think just how much of our modern society will be lost to time within just a couple of generations.
