That this team does not have a plan already in place after firing the GM tells me everything.  Carpino has been president of the Angels since 2009.  Maybe he's the problem, and it's what happens when you hire a buddy for the job.

Like I said, the players don't need to change the front office needs to change.  And if they do that, new uniforms to signify a new direction. Get used to it, I'm going to keep saying it until it happens.

Carpino and Arte are thick as thieves.  Arte will never get rid of him.  

Those two are the constants for this run of poor results.  

@Jeff Fletcher  it would be interesting to know how much influence Carpino really has and in what areas.

That is your FO’s job! 

I disagree.  He has the right to do what he wants with the team (he just isn't good at it).  The Angels say its a business, but it is also a labor-of-love for the owners.  That being said, someday I would love to read a tell-all on the dynamics of the owner/front office/manager since Arte bought the club.
