I would like to see Dombrowski as president and Billy Owens put in as GM.

LaRussa and Dombrowski have a pretty close relationship. Pretty obvious a birdie is likely in the ear of Arte

Stoneman hand picked Dombrowski for his first GM job....   So, lots of people in the organization familiar with DD.

Expect some BIG changes with the new GM.

Also, I'm not giving Eppler that much credit for "rebuilding" our farm system. They still have a bottom 5 system this year and have never had a strong farm. They have Adell and Marsh but if one is traded then it's thin again.

Eppler kept Trout, Brough in Ohtani, found Bundy/Goodwin/LaStella/Mayers and a few others, but still had some major whiffs.

He just talked about how close he was to Eppler like 2 days ago and likes what he’s done here. He isn’t gonna be happy.

He may not be happy about it, but he understands the sport and will get over it.

Trout is going to be happy this offseason being at home taking care of his son everyday.

By the end of Scioscia's tenure I had come to realize that he was not the cause of the team's struggles. I see it the same here. The one constant all these years has been Arte, and he is sadly the only person in the organization not accountable to anyone.

It's turning into a dangerous cycle where the more he meddles, the worse the team gets, which leads to him meddling even more to supposedly "fix" the issue. It's not going to get better soon.

I just one to say that Eppler did a pretty good job, especially with the environment he was brought into. He came into the organization, that had overpriced veterans taking most of the payroll flexibility and a farm system that ranked dead last! He was able to get the system to be in the middle of the pack, he did his best to improve the overall team. I know the biggest knock on him has been, his inability to build a pitching staff. I personally disagreed with this, for me the Knock on him was his inability to keep our main pitching staff healthy. He was able to built a rotation that had Ohtani, Richards, Heaney, Skaggs (RIP), and Barria. On paper this rotation looked really good, but injuries decimated the potential that could have been. Secondary, his hands were filled the first 2 or 3 years i believe. Arti wasn't willing to spend money.
