The only thing that gives me a smidgen of hope for the Angels is that the only known offer is for 4 years with opt-outs.  If Bauer/Luba have misjudged the market there may be a sliver of hope.

Still have a hard time believing Arte would ever have been interested in Bauer. They seem like they would clash in just about every way.

That true ace was Gerrit Cole. Sucks that the Yankees also needed pitching and weren't gonna be denied.

If the Dodgers sign Bauer, I can picture Arte having a brief moment of frustration while drinking his margarita. He might even stare out the window at one of his yachts with furrowed brow, before returning to the billiards room to finish his round of snooker with Kevin Bacon.
