Not sure.

1. We are facing Bielak, a RHP who didn't get out of the 1st inning against us last week. So, it could be the right/lefty matchup.

2. Walsh hit a HR last night and raised his OPS to .582 so it could be that.

3. It could be Maddon is having a Bromance with Walsh. Maddon has decided to play Walsh and leave a healthy Matt Thaiss in Long Beach.

It could also be that the very best place for any batter in the league to bat is in front of Mike Trout.  So he could just get some fastballs.

Because Maddon is one of those managers that thinks he’s so much smarter than anyone so he has to move the lineup around just to prove it.

Given the players, what would the perfect lineup look like?

I don’t think it really matters with this list of players who bats where.
