No one wants to admit this but the market might very well be shit this year for expiring contract guys.  I mean La Stella is a pretty damn good player and this was the return.

I like this move.  Maybe I'm in the minority.  La Stella is a free agent in 2021 so this is a rental for the A's.  We get a long term 24 year old prospect who has had very limited playing time and has a 55 prospect score per Fangraphs.  Sign me up.  Let's see what this kid can do.

Barreto stinks but La Stella wasnt gonna net much anyway. Wish they could have nabbed a reliever arm or something instead though. All in all, a big ole nothingburger of a deal

I don't want to speculate too much because there is far too much in the air right now but I think we see second base as a competition between Rengifo and this new guy, potentially a MIF platoon.

Rengifo isn’t starting. He Hermosillo Ward have been just more warm seats on the bench. Wish we would have gotten any sort of pitching. But who knows what Epplers plans are by the end of this thing.

Jackson is 3 years away.  Jones is not a major leaguer and wouldn’t surprise me if he is left unprotected.

Yes, we need pitching. But we need it for 2021 and beyond. Not much we can get right now in that regard.
