Why are people saying that La Stella won't/wouldn't be resigned? he has been an key bat in our Lineup the past 1.5. he's on the wrong side of 30, he won't be getting a big contract, he not a Defensive Wizard, but he is above average defender. Even on the other side of 30, he doesnt strike out alot, draws his Walks and do to his age, he'll be signing a team friendly deal.

I expect us to atleast make an Run for Him!

La Stella gives 50% of his offense back on defense.  His glove is purely ornamental.   On a team with Ohtani and Pujols pretty much entrenched at DH, his bat can't help you without his glove hurting you.

Adell has incredibly fast hands, doesn't help when he starts swinging after the catcher already got the pitch, but still very fast.
