Let's not forget that all of the coaches from the 2002 team are now managers. Bud Black (San Diego), Ron Roenicke (Milwaukee) and Joe Maddon (Tampa Bay). Sosh was just the hood ornament on that machine. Since his staff has left.... "Nothing!!" Maddon, from what I understood, was a stats geek that was ahead of his time. Sosh needs to find that chemistry of coaching that he once had and that he could rely on.

The players are to blame for this mess.  Last night - Aybar leads off - strike 1, strike 2 and the again swings at the 3rd pitch, which is closer to the dugout that home plate, but he gets it off the end of the bat and it squirts into RF for a single.

Trout - 1st pitch swinging flies out.

Pujols, strike 1, 2nd pitch flies out

3 hitters and 6 pitches

This pattern continued all night.  Bedard - the retread was throwing his soft junk low and outside to the RH hitters and they were swinging like a saloon door.  I wish Bobby Abreu was here to speak to these overpaid deadbeats.
