Favorite hot sauce?

Recommended Posts

Looking for something different and there seems to be more options.

Always liked Tapatio. Sriracha is actually good mixed with ketchup for burgers. Cholula is ok. That one from the singer of The Offspring, I think it's Gringo Bandito, is pretty good.

What's yours or something you have tried and liked?

I’m a huge hot sauce fan.  I probably have 30+ bottles in the fridge ranging from hot to insane.  I also grow my own peppers ranging from mild banana peppers and bell peppers to Carolina Reapers.  I’ve been making fermented hot sauces from my (and store bought) peppers.  Still working on perfecting the process though.

Anyways, my favorites right now are a smoked habanero I bought in Oregon in June and the “Tabasco” sauce made by Lizano (a Costa Rican brand).  It’s not like our Tabasco sauce, though it is made with Tabasco peppers.  It’s hot and delicious.

You guys should s check out Hot Ones on YouTube.  It’s entertaining.

Somewhat what started the thread for me was Hot Ones and looking up hot sauces. I was trying to spice up some ramen.

My friend gave me some shit her kids gave her from a Hot Ones gift set. It's called El Guero Mexican hot sauce. It's ok, but again, the vinegar is too much, though.

I'd like a solid kick to the dick without the vinegar taste or saltiness.

Do you glove up to handle the reapers? My worst nightmare is picking something like that and rubbing My eyes/junk accidentally.

Many of them are vinegary because it lowers the ph below 4.6 which is considered safe unrefridgerated. And likewise with fermenting, it tends to give it a tang akin to vinegar even if it has none.  Have you tried The Last Dab?  They put it as the hottest on Hot Ones but realistically it should be like 7.  It’s hot, but not ruin your day hot and actually has a good flavor and it’s not vinegary.  But it’s gonna run about $25/bottle.

I wouldn't mind trying it.

It seems like the worst is "Da Bomb" which has everyone fucked up.

It sounds ghey but but the next place I move to must have room for a decent garden. I want peppers, strawberries, corn, tomatoes, pumpkins, herbs and all the other stuff a grown ass man secretly tends to. A bonus would be to have room for my 4 necessary fruit trees: Meyer lemon, Valencia orange, Haas avocado and Bearss lime trees.

Ok dude, I know you personally, who turned you gay?

Was it Liverpool or a Biden supporter?

Side note, Meyer lemon trees are the shit.
