Why can't the Angels hit with runners in scoring position?

I had a boss in high school who had it all figured out when something went wrong. He’d tell us “you gotta hold your mouth right.” Had no idea what that meant, but on a philosophical level, it was brilliant and worked like a charm. So that’s what the halos need to do.

No it showed we were basically average.

He showed the numbers overall vs numbers with RISP...    As a team they basically performed exactly the same in both situations in relation to the rest of the league.

Which is pathetic. Sorry if I'm not okay with just average when you have the best baseball player on the planet on your team.

You're missing the point while trying to act superior.  Adorable!

Even funnier you asked why they can't hit w/RISP when the reality is that the Angels (like most of baseball), have actually performed better in those situations than overall...

YR -- OPS vs OPS w/RISP

20 -- .742 - .786

19 -- .746 -.768

18 -- .730 - .747

17 -- .738 - .750

So I was wrong when I said average.  Any idea what the league average OPS was in those situations?

So what? They're still not very good with runners in scoring position. Like I've already stated, I'm not okay with Just Around The League average. It's fine if you are but it's quite clear that our owner doesn't give a crap that he has the best player on the planet and has wasted him.
