Why anybody would throw anything else besides breaking balls in the dirt to Othani is beyond me. He will swing 2 out of every 3 times. No need to ever throw him a strike

Ohtani has a natural leg kick that the Angels coaches had him get away from. I remember watching a pregame in Oakland last season and Ohtani was warming up behind the cages and he was using his natural leg kick.

Ohtani hit to a .564 slugging percentage in his first year without the leg kick. He started this season going back to the leg kick.

It’s in his head. He stays in the box during BP and launches ball after ball deep into the RF stands. Then during real games his right hip pulls out before the pitcher releases the ball. He’s a mess.
