I'm a Rengifo fan, I think he is easily a major league starter and he should be in the lineup.

More reason to think/hope that the Angels will be in the market for relievers at the deadline. Joe can't help himself with these quick triggers and going to his pen early and often. Not what you want with a pen that's full of question marks

Ya know, I was really pissed at Assmus last season for having the quick hook on SP, and I expected better from Maddon  Could we maybe let starters go longer than 4-5 innings?

Seriously don't understand the move to pull Heaney early.

Why though? Why not let starting pitchers freaking pitch? Even 100 pitches it's not that big of a deal. My goodness guys in the 20's and 30's we're throwing complete games like 30 times a season. There weren't all these major injuries happening all the time to these pitchers either. 

And with our questionable Bullpen that just allowed 2 runs, taking out Heaney who was by all accounts cruising and looking good makes even less sense especially with 64 freaking pitches. 64. I'm going to get really sick of this crap if I have to watch this for the next five years that Madden is the manager. Did he really win the World Series buy using his Bullpen way too much every game? What's the freaking point of having a starting pitcher?

If this is Maddons MO, why didn't Eppler vastly upgrade this bullpen?

I would have said pitch count but Heaney threw 67 pitches in his first outing so you'd think he'd be stretched out for 80+. Simply put, this is Joe micromanaging at his worst
