For me the correct answer is Heaney. He’s healthy, in his age 29 season, and has a highly respected pitching coach.  I don’t expect him to be an Ace, simply a sub 4 ERA guy.  Someone you can count on to keep you in a game

I agree. it's time for Heaney to turn the corner and live up to more of his potential.

Trout is the one that I'm worried is starting his hopefully slow decline. Those launch angles yesterday were a little concerning.

This is actually a concern. I'm sure you're aware of the Tony Blengino article from last year where he discusses this, saying that Trout's launch angle is indicative of a player on the verge of decline. We could be starting the era of .270 BAs from Trout, which would mean Yelich truly is the best player in baseball.

That is, if he was a mere mortal. Trout's most amazing quality is his ability to adjust. If there's a problem he'll rectify it, so I have faith.

Yelich is batting .037

Do you guys realize Barria just recently turned 24 and has only made 39 starts in his career?

How about giving him a little time?

Barria has no plus pitches. He got lucky his first year because he was new around the league and it was the first time a lot of batters saw him. He's just not good, the angels should have sold high on him.

How?  If some dude on the internet knows this about him, how is it possible the baseball world doesn’t know this?

I gave up on Pujols after his horrific April in 2012 and I knew we were screwed. I warned you guys about Upton. It was a huge mistake to bring him back.

But for me the final chance would be Heany.

The guy has such good stuff yet it seems he always has an era around 5. He has a good pitching coach this year, so no more excuses. I really hope he gets it together.

I think Eppler did know, but was likely hesitant to trade him because the angels literally have no pitching, and right now they just need an arm, no matter how bad it is.

It would have been a huge gamble, but I would have done it.

the point is if you know he sucks, then who is he supposed to sell him to.
