I watched part of an EPL game yesterday with pumped-in crowd noise. It wasn't that big of a deal, from a television standpoint.

I agree. Since there's no real crowds, I'd love for the players and coaches to be mic'd up throughout the game.

I mentioned the piped-in noise thing to my wife and daughter and almost simultaneously they both asked about piping in fart noises.

I don't think there's anything left in life for me to accomplish.

I always liked the story of Ronald Reagan, who called Cubs games using a telegraph feed.  Once, the telegraph went down, and rather than just have dead air, he improvised, and made up foul-ball after foul-ball, until the feed came back.

The sound guy totally dropped the ball.  No booing from the home "crowd" when Canning made two consecutive pick off throws.

I'm personally having a hard time watching these games with nobody in the seats and no crowd noise/reaction.
Too many years in ball parks and watching games on TV for this to be an easy transition...not sure if I will be able to do much more than read post game box scores and follow standings...the actual games are just too bizarre.

I thought the fake noise would sound stoopid. It does in the MLS games. I actually didn't mind it at all last night.
