Extremely disappointed in how Arte has been handling this.

Teams all around the league are releasing minor leaguers.

Not the Royals. They’re paying all their minor leaguers. I don’t think the Angels have said whether or not they’re going to continue to pay them yet. After seeing the backlash the A’s and Nationals got, I can’t imagine them not.

Nationals released 30. So many minor leaguers lost their jobs today, for what? So owners could save a couple grand? I still can’t believe anyone would be mad at the players in these negotiations.

There won't be an MiLB season, so except for whatever AAA-level ready reserve the MLB teams will carry with them to cover injuries in a short season, there's no need to keep MiLB teams together this summer. Paying players (barely) for non-existent farm teams is up to each MLB team.

They are only drafting 5 rounds this season. It's up to each team to decide how many bodies to have around, especially in Rookie and A-ball.
