Asian gangs were the go to's for home invasions. They know asians dont trust banks, so always have tons of cash in the house. And especially the viets dont trust the police, so they werent going to report them.

Every race has specialties in crime. I think its mainly because you click with your race in jail/prison, and they pass their capers along to each other.

Within the last year we arrested a really well known male porn star for hitting his wife, who was another well known porn star.

He was a beast, just died recently.

When I was a kid we were caught up in a high speed chase in the parking lot of Sea World of all places. Some dealers had a couple keys of blow in the trunk and were headed to Mexico but accidentally took the exit to the amusement park. There was a helicopter with a loudspeaker warning everyone to take shelter as the chase approached the parking aisle my family was walking through. My dad grabbed my mom and my sister and they ran between a couple of parked cars while my brother and I jumped on the hood of a VW Rabbit or some other ‘80s POS. 

Long story short the cops t-boned the suspect as he was driving toward us and the car was not drive-able. The driver and the passenger refused to get out of the car even though they had multiple shotguns pointed at them (this was before LE had tanks and automatic weapons). After about two minutes the cops let the dog loose. I’ve never heard a grown man scream like that to this day. The shear terror that man must have felt to make that sound is unimaginable. The dog pulled him out of the car and onto the pavement where the police were able to pull him back toward their cars. 

After that took place they called for the passenger to exit the vehicle. Having just seen his buddy ripped to shreds he wasn’t having any of that shit. Dude threw his hands in the air, got out of the car and laid face first on the ground. The police cuffed him with zero resistance. 

IMO the best weapon law enforcement has is the K9. You can’t outrun, fight or reason with that animal. The moral of the story is that if you’re having to deal with a police dog, you’ve already passed the point of no return.

Child porn, I couldnt tell you the answer to that. Its not my field, and the people who have it, its not out in the open.

I have arrested people for it, but not too often. Thats more detective stuff. 

As far as human trafficking, its all over the place. Literally every hooker. And almost none of them are local... you talk to them, theyre all from oakland. Vegas. Etc etc

And its freaking crazy how loyal to their pimp they are..... it will never make any sense to me at all. 

Child sexual abuse is all over. Thats super common.

Its funny how the guys who have already been bit know that lesson....

Had a pursuit about 2 months back. Armed suspect, chased him until he crashed. He was barricaded in the car, with the gun, threatening to shoot it out with us.

K9 arrived....... we started giving announcements that the dog was going to be deployed....

Gun comes out the window, he instantly started yelling hes coming out, dont shoot.

Hed been bit a month earlier....

 

Pretty gross, but you have to clean the dogs teeth after a bite.... and its usually like cleaning a grill after a bbq... lots of meat stuck....

Heres a good story that just popped into my head.

Got a welfare check call about 2 years ago. Dont even remember why we got it. But its was a transient living in his car.

We walk up on the car, and the smell is beyond belief. And the guy is super standoffish.... like doesnt want us around.

If youve ever smelled a dead body, you know what the smell is...

So we instantly think this guy has a body in the car.

Call for a supervisor and another unit. If there is a body, we dont want to screw this up. You can easily lose a case forever by innocent mistakes.

Long story short....

The dead body smell was him.... 

He hadnt left the car in about 6 months.... hed been sitting in the drivers seat, pissing and shitting himself for months..... just going through drive thrus.

He got infected (like a diaper rash), and had abscesses all over his lower body.... literally had maggots, im not lying, infested throughout his legs, eating the dead flesh.

And per the doctors, THAT is what kept him alive..... because they ate up the gangrene.

SHE was fine.... but it severed both her legs off.....

But because it was so quick, and hot, it instantly cauterized the wounds....

Took her to the hospital, with her legs in a plastic bag.....

I honest to god think she was stable and out of the ICU before I was off work that night.

Im not sure. I dont think so.... but part of me almost wants to say yes, because everything was so clean.

All I remember for sure was that we swore she was donezo, but after maybe 25 minutes in the trauma room, the ER staff relaxed and started going back to the rest of the patients. I assumed that meant she died, and the doc was like "shes fine".

Literally less of a problem for them to solve than any car accident ive seen. Mainly because it cauterized so quickly, she didnt lose almost any blood. Obviously a ton of pain, but in terms of serious medical problems, nothing too serious.

Theres a ton of cops who retired and went into the business seminar world. And lots of guys doing training blogs for departments.

Especially if you have specific experience, like SWAT, gangs or dope. 

The most successful have been the admin wienies, who preach about risk management....

So you have these admin guys, who did very little police time themselves, telling other admin types, to be wieners. And the wieners eat it up. 

 

As far as Cops, meh.... maybe when youre new. But they generally dont show anything exciting on that show. Its mostly routine, so pretty boring when you see that at work all the time.

Theres a few police websites that have great videos. And i never understood why theyre kept private. 

Theres videos we watch all the time, where things go bad. And i feel like if the public saw them, perception might change. Like the ones that show us losing fights, getting shot at, etc. Or how people truly do confront us, challenge, and afraid to get shot, etc.

But for some reason those videos are kept locked up. I dont even know where to find them, they just show us in briefing.

She is a part of a German Shepard rescue group that takes in dogs and kind of fosters them until they are adopted. I went with her on one trip where we drove out to Rancho Cucamonga to transport a dog to a Yorba Linda facility. Neat experience.

She said being part of the group she got to experience K9 training on a football field. Said it was insane and an awesome experience.

She said she literally screamed out, "Yeeeesssssss!!!" when the dog took the dude down. But then I told her that he recently passed but you said was a great dog for the department and she cried.

Yeah, that was ruff (lame pun intended). We're supposed to keep the dogs mean, not let them fraternize with other cops, so that they are always in work mode...

 

... but it never works. Everyone is always trying to pet the dog when they can. Like who ever doesnt like dogs is a weirdo.

Its tough when you lose them. We had to put another one down about a year ago. Seemed totally fine until one day he was acting weird. Took him to the vet, found a giant tumor. Had to put him down that night.
